For Mother's Day this year, we reached out to our mom friends and colleagues and asked them to share what they've been up to during these unusual times.
This rare moment has caused us to shift our priorities and has given us new perspectives on all aspects of life - work, socializing, motherhood, self care, self expression, etc. We thought it would be nice to share some of these new perspectives through those in our community.
Meet Lynda, our Frances Valentine Global Sales Director <3 and Mom to Trey, Sophie, Henry, and Chloe.
How are you working?
This experience has been interesting to say the least. I have four kids, so helping with schooling and doing my own work has been a balancing act. Between the 6 of us in my family, we all have a designated work area that we start off at in the beginning of the day, but we are like a wolf pack and end up all around the dining room table together by the end of the day.
What are you learning?
What I have learned is that teachers are true super heroes, something I have always known, but has never been more evident to me than it has been these past few weeks. Also I have learned that 6 year olds only need their hair brushed every couple of days and that tik tok is an actual sport.
What are you teaching?
I'm teaching my 6 yr. old to read, my 11 year old that the Presidential branch really is not the most powerful, my 14 year old that Some Kind of Wonderful is better to watch than Riverdale and my 15 year old that juggling tide pods will distract you from doing your own laundry.
