What have you been working on?
My sanity!! Working from home and raising a toddler (without a sibling to play with) is new for all of us. Right now, my focus is taking each day as it comes, and trying to do my damn best!! Huge kudos to all the parents during this time.
What are you learning?
I've learned how little we need to be truly happy. We have been quarantining at my aunt and uncle's beach cottage in Maine-- with minimal toys, clothes, kitchen gadgets, etc. We are having the best time together as a family just enjoying the outside and each other's company. I am also learning so much about my daughter, Isabella's personality by spending so much time with her. It is truly invaluable.
What are you teaching?
I'm trying to teach Isabella patience and understanding. It is hard for her to see me "go to work" in the same house. We have also been getting her outside as much as possible, showing her true nature- which is a huge departure from her Brooklyn "concrete jungle" days.
What are you making?
I need to get on that one!!! We've been collecting sand dollars and sea glass at the beach, so we are researching what we want to make with them.
