What does style mean to you?
Everything! It has the very important job of representing me before someone has the chance to get to know me. It’s my favorite way to express myself. I am also fascinated by the history of fashion and style. Costume History was my favorite class in college.
What inspired your love of etiquette?
It started with a love and appreciation for the history and evolution of it, but what fuels me now is redefining etiquette for our world today. My mission is to teach people how modern etiquette can help them distinguish themselves, create stronger relationships, live more intentionally, and give them the confidence they need to truly shine their light.
Three etiquette tips to live by this holiday season?
1. Always respect your holiday event's dress code. I would wear Frances Valentine's Lucille Dress with The Frances Frame Bag, and Reese Slingback Heels to a festive holiday cocktail party.
2. Always bring a gift for your host. My go-to is a set of cocktail napkins.
3. When at a dinner party, make sure your handbag and other personal items are placed off the table.
Any fashion faux pas?
Wrinkled clothing.Â
What’s on your shelves?
Vintage hats of all shapes, sizes, and colors!
What’s hanging on your wall?
I have a gallery wall of old department store and women’s clothing advertisements in my home office. Think 1950s B. Altman & Co. and 1970s Lord and Taylor.Â
What’s the last book that you read?
When Women Ran Fifth Avenue by Julie Satow. If you adore New York City history and fashion as much as I do, it’s a must read.Â
What do you love most about NYC?
The unignorable energy, iconic magic, rich history, and endless opportunity. You can be so fully yourself here. My love for this city runs so deep.Â
Go-to spot in the city?
Palma in The Village.Â
Favorite piece in your wardrobe?
One of my vintage housecoats! Can you tell that I’m a homebody yet?Â
If you could have dinner with one person dead or alive, who would it be?
I know you said one, but it would have to be two of my grandparents who are no longer with us.Â
What brings you joy?
Helping people step into their magic.Â
